Here we go...

10:30am - James just dropped big time and Katie is at 10cm (jackpot) so we are very close to pushing... well, Katie is very close to pushing him out so it should be soon...

And the Beat Goes On

9:30am - Katie is sleeping peaceful as we wait for James to kick things into high gear. I'm listening to the rhythmic beating of James' heartbeat on the monitor. He is going strong and it is hard to believe he will be here soon.

I walked by the nursery earlier and counted 35 babies. UNBELIEVEABLE!! The floor is overrun with new babies. We are looking forward to adding him to the mix.

This just in... nurse says we are at 9cm...

Just Say Yes to Drugs

It's 6:30, Katie did a fabulous job with 12 hours of tough natural labor before getting the epidural. She is feeling wonderful now but James still does not seem to be in a hurry to arrive.

Could today be the day?

It's 3:25 am and Katie is fighting off contractions while the rest of you are sound alseep. We arrived at the hospital around 1:15am after several hours of contractions at home. We are praying that James will arrive strong and healthy.

Today is his BeBe's birthday so that would be really special.

Plenty of room at the Inn

The nursery is ready but we are still waiting on James to officially join the family. The room has been a group effort with his Mimi, GiGi and BeBe helping with the furniture. Special thanks to Colleen who made the crib bedding (also made Katie's when she was a baby). Also, Dorie played a big part with the interior design.

Granddad (Wiley) contributed his childhood blanket for James to admire for many years.

Even Joe had some fun

Thanks to the friends at Joe's work, he was able to take part in the celebration for James. Not to mention, get in some practice of changing a few diapers which will not be a much fun with the "real thing".

More showers in the forecast

Does it get any better for James? He has already enjoyed several parties in his honor, received tons of presents and has numerous people awaiting his arrival. Katie enjoyed 2 more showers with wonderful friends. Thank you to everyone for caring so much for our family.
